Throwback Vibes ft. Youjun Li

Welcome to our first guest post featuring fellow third year commerce student Youjun Li.

ALL SMILES is a playlist I created that represents the songs that I danced and sang to as I grew up in the early 2000s. Childhood memories are brought back to life by the voices of Timberland, Madonna, and Michael Jackson.

Each song provides a different flavour of happiness. There is not a single song on this playlist that fails to make me smile. Although popular youth music today is littered with profanity, violence, and drugs, the tracks that were popular in the 2000s focused on love, society, and heartbreak.

The majority of these songs were painstakingly tracked down on Limewire then downloaded onto a 500mb MP3. The iconic melodies, lyrics, and vibe of the 2000s captures the happiness in growing up in that era. Check out my playlist below!
